Policiers à motoThe very nature of police work demands that members of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) be attentive observers who are highly attuned to the details around them.

Spurred by this professional curiosity, it was a natural step for the objects and items, facts and documents that reflect the professional history and heritage of the police to be collected and displayed for interpretation. And so the Musée de la police de Montréal was created.

The subsection About the museum explains the mission and goals of the museum. It also describes the logo and its components, and lists the members of the museum’s board of directors.

The subsection Location and access gives directions and contact information for the museum, and the subsection Visiting the museum provides the opening hours and explains how to arrange a visit.

To find out more about the museum’s collection, please go to subsectionMuseum archives, which explores the themes and exhibit pieces and provides some photos that reflect the museum’s purpose.
